Refractory Osteomyelitis
Refractory osteomyelitis is a chronic bone infection that persists despite antibiotics and surgery. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is FDA-approved as an adjunct: it raises oxygen in poorly perfused, infected bone, strengthens the immune cells that clear bacteria, and supports new blood-vessel growth and healing where conventional treatment has stalled.
