Necrotizing Soft Tissue Infections

Necrotising soft-tissue infections, including necrotising fasciitis and Fournier's gangrene, destroy tissue rapidly and are life-threatening. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is FDA-approved as an adjunct to urgent surgery and antibiotics: high tissue-oxygen levels suppress the responsible bacteria, support immune defence, and help limit the spread of tissue loss.
