Wound Healing
Delayed Radiation Injury (Soft Tissue & Bony Necrosis)
Radiation therapy can damage tissue and bone months or years later, causing conditions such as osteoradionecrosis. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is FDA-approved for delayed radiation injury: by driving new blood-vessel growth into poorly perfused, irradiated tissue, it improves oxygen supply and supports healing of soft-tissue and bony necrosis.
